COVID-19 | Your safety and peace of mind is our priority. We’ve made provisions to ensure that all first aid courses are delivered with strict social distancing, improved hygiene measures & adapted training techniques, so you can focus on training and be confident that we’ll take care of everything else.
Our first aid courses meet the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2015 as per the HSE requirements, to give you the assurance that you’ve come to the right place.
Our First Aid at Work Qualification is accepted by TQUK as a qualification for first aid instructors who wish to offer their regulated qualifications.

About your trainer
Stephen Gray
Meet Steve. Passionate advocate of health and safety at work, father to one head-strong teenage son and devoted husband to early years champion, Desi.
A local Cambridge parishioner, Steve’s started his career in construction as a carpenter. He developed his skills to become an Architect on multiple large-scale projects and later as Project Manager. Steve is an avid supporter of sustainability and has challenged the government on community initiatives to ensure sustainability remains at the core of current and future construction & development.
Now a qualified teacher, assessor and first-aid trainer, Steve manages SKAT’s Training Academy to support early years professionals develop their skills and ability, to manage unforeseen situations efficiently and confidently.
Steve’s experience in adult teaching throughout his years in construction, coupled with his transferable project management skills of communication, organisation, problem-solving and situational assessment makes him a valuable asset to assess organisation’s and people’s training needs, and support them in the most efficient and engaging way. He’s also an all-round nice guy.
Outside of his family, Steve loves trekking, kayaking, art and maintaining mental and physical wellbeing. His driving ambition is to support the local Cambridge and East Anglia community thrive.
The course was well run and very informative. The online learning was easy to operate and you could work through the videos at your own pace. The classroom day was brilliant, the atmosphere was calm and the venue was really lovely. This helped me to retain the first aid I had learned through the day.

The Paediatric Infant and Child First Aid offers great knowledge and techniques to provide help to infants and children in multiple emergency situations, both in the work environment and in everyday life.
